Advent Day four: Mary's visit to Elizabeth and the Magnificat

Read Luke 1:39-56.

In this story we see the beautiful encounter between Mary and Elizabeth. Filled with the Holy Spirit, Elizabeth sees the significance of Mary's pregnancy, and Mary responds with a hymn of praise called the "Magnificat."

This story invites us to embrace the joy and gratitude that comes when we witness God's work in our lives. Like Mary, let's take a moment to reflect on the blessings we've received, acknowledging the goodness of the Lord and His mercy. As we walk through Advent, may our hearts resonate with Mary's song, magnifying the goodness of God and rejoicing in the hope that comes with the fulfillment of His promises.

Prayer: Lord, help me to celebrate the joy of your presence in my life. Help me to be grateful for all that you have blessed me with, and most importantly grateful for your precious Holy Spirit. Amen.
