Advent Devotional Day 3: The Angel Gabriel Visits Mary

Read Luke 1:26-38.

In Luke 1:26-38, we see the moment when the angel Gabriel visits Mary with a message. Mary, who is a humble woman, is chosen to be the mother of Jesus, the Savior. Her response to the angel is an answer of faith and surrender when she says, "I am the servant of the Lord, let it be to me according to your word."

This story  invites us to reflect on Mary's willingness to embrace God's unexpected plan with trust and humility. As we continue through Advent, let's learn from Mary's simple yet  amazing example...being open to God's surprises and saying "yes" to His plans for our lives, even when they go beyond our understanding. Mary's response reminds us that God's plans are always greater than our own.
