The Gospel of Mark: Chapter Nine

This week, we stepped into one of the most awe-inspiring moments in the Gospel—the Transfiguration of Jesus. In Mark 9, we see Jesus revealing his true glory to three of his disciples on a high mountain. But this isn’t just about spiritual spectacle. It’s about transformation, suffering, and seeing others—and ourselves—through heaven’s eyes. This message reminded us that to truly do the stuff of Jesus, we need encounters with the glory of God, a deep commitment to follow him up the mountain, and a willingness to suffer in order to shine.
