Boxing Day

Most Americans don’t realize that in every English-speaking country except our own, the day after Christmas is one of the biggest days of the year for giving. Called Boxing Day, it’s a holiday tradition that for centuries has greatly enhanced the lives of many of the world’s poorest people. With roots tied to charity that began in churches, this special day is one that each of us ought to adopt and make into a holiday tradition. Boxing Day was the first recognized holiday that fully incorporated Christ’s teachings to reach out to the poor.

Please join us on December 19 at 6PM in the Chapel Reception Hall as we wrap and fill Christmas Boxes with food and toiletries that will be delivered to families on Christmas Eve.

We are encouraging families to bring in non-perishable food items (canned fruit, veggies, cereal, pasta, etc.), personal hygiene items and wrapping paper into the church to help fill the boxes.

Please sign up here or contact for more info.
